PalFish: Online English Tutoring

Hey everyone! Have you heard of PalFish?
It is a newly launched app that gives opportunity for Chinese students to learn and ESL tutors to earn!
It is a mobile app where you will register, wait for approval to start off and wait for the students to call you! Yeah, they will be the one to call you!

The pay is per minute and you get to decide your own rate! Isn't it awesome?
You can earn as much as .5-5 Chinese yuan per minute. They pay once through PayPal or Alipay from 1st-5th of the month regardless of your balance.

PalFish gives much more better compensation than other companies.
It has only been a day when I started tutoring and I got around 6$. Not bad for a starter right?

This app is only available for mobile devices not PCs. All you need to do is download it
(both available for iOS and Android)

How to apply?
1. First you will need to register through their website http://www.ipalfish.com/klian/web/share/invitelink_en.html?uid=339336 wherein you have to enter your phone number to register.
I think this is also their way of  knowing your origin.

Afterwards,  you will be redirected to Appstore/Playstore. Which means that you have registered successfully and you now need to download the app on your mobile phone and sign in.

2. Once you signed in, you have to create a written and voice recorded introduction. This will serve as your ticket to approval. Be sure to speak clearly and precisely. Once you're done, wait for the PalFish Team's message for you to start teaching! You may complete your profile while waiting for approval. It may take 2-3 days as for my experience.

3. You will also have to set your trial rate (this is your charge for first time students) and standard rate (for repeating students) It is recommended to start at a lower rate until you establish yourself.

Once you're approved, you may click the Start Tutoring button on your Home tab and receive calls from students. Call times may vary. Sometimes the system will automatically hang-up but, don't be surprised because this means that the student has used up  his/her balance. Still, you get paid by the minutes you've accumulated. Peak hours are from early morning and afternoon to late at night China time. Happy PalFishing!
